Platform for Communities
Transform your industry with One Network Platform.
Transform Your Community
The One Network Platform can be used in three major ways. The first way is to use it to support multi-company community processes in a many-to-many network. The second way is to use it add point applications and capabilities to extend your existing enterprise services. For example, you could use the platform to just add (say) Demand Forecasting capability to your existing supply chain capabilities. The third major way to use the platform is to use it to transform your enterprise.
We will discuss the first way, transforming your community by supporting multi-company community processes in a many-to-many network.
The One Network platform is the first platform designed from ground up to support multi-company community processes.
The key elements are of this are:
- Community Single-Version-of-the-Truth (C-SVOT)
- Each Company connects/integrates only once and can ‘transact’ with any other company (subject to permissions)
- A sophisticated permissions framework that determines what a particular company can do and see with other companies.
- Multi-party transaction models
- An SDK to build community applications on the platform.
The Internet is transforming the way shared processes can and are being built. With the One Network platform you can potentially transform your industry by enabling community processes that just could not be supported before.
Community Processes can be classified into 3 categories:
- Those which are fundamentally not possible without C-SVOT
- Those which can be significantly improved with C-SVOT.
- Those which are unchanged by C-SVOT.
A classic example of the first is auctioning. Prior to ebay, the only way to support auctions was to get everyone ‘in the same room’. Examples of companies that did this were Christies, NYSE etc.. Ebay invented a new industry by bringing auctioning to the masses with a community service.
Many processes which are today done via EDI, XML Messaging between companies etc. can be significantly improved via C-SVOT. For example in the Retail-CP world, the entire eco-system can be working of the latest store point-of-sale information allowing for a demand-driven supply chain. This is transformative for the Retail-CP industry.
One Network has built several community “networks” that have transformed various industries. However, there are many more opportunities that exist. Contact One Network if you would like to discuss how we could help you transform your industry or community.
The One Network SDK comes with dozens of multi-party models and transactions out of the box which gives companies a significant leg up in building these types of services (beyond the community nature of the framework itself).
